Walz Introduces U.S. State-Themed “Map Caps” Posted on 10 Sep 09:05
“Over the past year, as we've seen our corporate custom cap program grow considerably, I've come to realize something really important, ” said Michael Gilstrap, president of Walz Caps, “Our caps help complete a personal statement that starts with the bike. Showing where you come from – whether that's about hometown pride or an association with a trusted brand like Keen, Clif Bar, or Volkswagen – is all about bringing your own personal style along for the ride. We've already seen a pretty fantastic reaction to the first round of Map Caps and expect to expand the line considerably in early 2016 to include additional states, cities, and neighborhoods.”
Walz produces hundreds of custom cap projects annually for bicycle organizations, running and cycling retailers, and popular specialty lines like BikeSnob and Brooklyn Brewery. All Walz caps, including the Map Cap line, are hand-sewn at their production facility outside of San Diego.
“I'm certain we'll see additional requests for other locations across the country,” said Gilstrap. “We welcome those suggestions and look forward to the chance to put another cyclist on the map!”
