Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, is a neuro-degenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. There is no treatment, no known cause and no cure.

The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS. The ALS Association covers all the bases: to help people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and to leave no stone unturned in search for the cure.

Every year thousands of cyclists dedicate their time to fundraise and participate in rides around the country to raise money to cure ALS.
